About Eagle Rugby Union Football Club

Based in Great Sankey, to the West side of Warrington, Eagle aim to provide rugby for the local community at a range of levels and currently have two senior sides playing competitive league rugby and a junior colts side playing in the Lancashire Colts League.  The first team play in the RFU league, and in 2006  the second team was reformed after several years to make an immediate impression in the Miller Homes League competing against second and third teams from clubs, large and small across the North West.

Eagles commitment to community rugby has been rewarded through both the Sport England Club Mark and the RFU Seal of Approval. Last year this culminated in teams at under 17 and under 19 reaching County finals. 

2007 saw Eagle form a minis section with boys and girls aged between 6 and 16 experiencing rugby union for the first time at regular training sessions at the club.  The next step as numbers grow, is to start to bring teams together across the age groups.
